Wax modelling

Wax modelling, as opposed to every other type of clay or glass artefact is based on the desire to imitate nature. Therefore, wax modelling came about purely for aesthetic reasons, to the point of being used to create anatomical models and votive offerings, based on criteria of high imitation values and faithful replication of the model. Each piece of restorative work in this sense is a combination of the exact restorative treatment of colour, with an expressive enhancement of the design.
