Giacomo Manzoni, ( Manzù) was born in Bergamo December 22, 1908;

after evening plastic art classes at the School of Bergamo Andrea Fantoni, the attendance of the Academy of Cignaroli art of Verona and a brief stay in Paris, Manzù settled in Milan and participate in a group exhibition at the Galleria Milano.

During this period in Milan, Manzù attended the sacred art laboratory Politi, in via Sant’Eufemia;

Politi realizes this work by knocking the copper foil and gilding the top of the women represented in the leaf: the work will be called “Sulanite”.         Measuring 85 x 30 cm
